After completing his theatre training from HCRFTA (an extension of the National School of Drama), Deepak Shah brings with him over 18 years of rich experience in the Indian film and television industry. His journey spans across diverse formats and genres, where he has contributed extensively as an Associate Director and Second Unit Director on numerous television serials and feature films. Beyond fiction, he has successfully directed a wide range of television commercials, corporate films, and impactful documentaries, showcasing a sharp visual sensibility and strong narrative command.
Producer, Director & Teacher , Deepak Shah works closely with actors, writers, and technical teams to bring authenticity and depth to each story.
Deepak Shah has also had the privilege of working closely with the legendary actor Late Om Puri, serving as a Script Advisor on multiple projects—an experience that deeply shaped his storytelling approach and cinematic vision. Equally committed to nurturing new talent, he has played an active role in education as a faculty for Acting and Direction, associated with reputed institutions such as ZIMA, ISOME, and IIT Delhi.
Recently, he completed the shooting of his debut Hindi feature film, “MEHI”, marking a significant milestone in his creative journey. With the launch of Deepak Shah Productions, he now steps forward to create meaningful, powerful, and content-driven cinema—bringing stories to life with authenticity, depth, and a strong artistic voice.
